“No Mistakes on the Road” Children’s Drawing Contest 2024

The national children’s drawing contest under the motto “NO MISTAKES ON THE ROAD” took place between 21 October and 15 November 2024. It was organized by the Association of Bulgarian Insurers (ABZ), the Guarantee Fund (GF), and the General Directorate National Police – Ministry of Interior.

The contest gave children across Bulgaria the opportunity to become “co-authors” of ABZ’s popular online educational road safety quiz “NO MISTAKES ON THE ROAD”. Through their drawings, participants illustrated correct and incorrect road behaviors.

The response was remarkable: nearly 10,000 drawings were submitted by more than 4,300 children from over 900 schools and kindergartens in 304 towns and cities. All participants received certificates via a dedicated section on the ABZ website, where the unique online gallery “No Mistakes on the Road” presents every drawing submitted—the only gallery of its kind in Bulgaria and Europe.

The high level of engagement by teachers and schools impressed the organizers, leading to an expanded prize fund. In addition to the originally announced 10 awards for the best drawings, 10 special awards were given to schools and kindergartens for their active participation.
