DZI: TEAMBLUE CHALLENGE – FIRST AID

The campaign of DZI, in partnership with the First Aid Academy, is part of the international initiative of the KBC Group, aimed at supporting people in need and saving lives. The initiative takes place in all countries where the Group operates and is connected to the internal “Team Blue” challenge.

DZI launched its partnership with the First Aid Academy—the only training provider for first aid approved by the Ministry of Education—in September 2024. The collaboration sought to promote a socially significant cause: prevention and preparedness of teachers and educational staff for providing first aid. The partnership also allowed all DZI employees to complete basic first aid training.

Objectives

  • Provide employees, teachers, and parents with practical knowledge and skills for emergency response
  • Increase the readiness of educational institutions to deliver first aid
  • Build a sustainable culture of prevention and responsibility within the school environment
  • Promote student insurance opportunities through direct communication with parents and teachers

Target Groups

  • DZI employees
  • Teachers in nurseries, kindergartens, schools, and universities
  • Parents of students

Tasks

  • Deliver certified first aid training for DZI employees, teachers, and parents
  • Organize special activations and events in Sofia for different audiences
  • Build a long-term partnership network with the First Aid Academy

Activities

The campaign with the First Aid Academy was a large-scale initiative focused on strengthening emergency response skills and improving health awareness among key target groups: employees, teachers, and parents. Activities were structured in three main areas:

Training and partnerships

  • A series of certified first aid trainings were conducted for teachers from nurseries, kindergartens, schools, and universities, including practical demonstrations and simulations.
  • More than 350 DZI employees completed basic first aid courses, as part of the company’s internal social engagement and prevention program.
  • A long-term partnership was established with the Academy, positioning DZI as a main partner in over 15 trainings and events, ensuring both sustainability and visibility of the campaign among educational institutions, parents, hikers, pharmacists, and dentists.

Communication activities

  • A communication campaign was carried out, including a raffle for parents with vouchers for first aid training, engaging more than 1,800 participants and showing high levels of interest.
  • Invitations and informational materials were sent to schools, universities, media, and institutions to promote the campaign and encourage participation in trainings and student insurance programs.
  • A broad communication campaign included:
  • Social media activities and online advertising targeting parents and teachers
  • Internal communication to DZI employees through the intranet, newsletters, and events
  • Creation of informational materials, including training videos

Internal initiatives

  • More than 350 DZI employees participated in internal trainings, which continue beyond the campaign’s main phase.
