LEV INS: “20 Years of Participation in the National Donation Fund for Children Injured in Road Accidents of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC)” and Ongoing Support under the Theme “Road Safety for Children”

LEV INS AD has been a strategic partner and donor to the National Donation Fund for Children Injured in Road Accidents since its establishment in 2005. According to data from the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC), LEV INS is the largest corporate donor to the Fund.

The Fund was created at the initiative of the BRC, the Ministry of Interior, the Union of Bulgarian Motorists, and others, with the goal of providing financial support for the treatment and rehabilitation of children injured in road accidents. LEV INS contributes BGN 1 from every signed CASCO policy to the Fund. In 2009, the company launched the permanent donation initiative “I Donated, Did You?”, giving clients the option to donate BGN 1 when signing a CASCO policy. Every year, the collected amount is donated to the Fund. The initiative has generated hundreds of thousands of leva, directed directly to the treatment and recovery of injured children.

As of June 2025, the Fund has supported 1,258 children with nearly BGN 900,000. For LEV INS, road safety and care for children on the road has been a mission carried out consistently and responsibly for almost 20 years.

Beyond financial donations, the company contributes through training, social campaigns, installing road signs near schools, upgrading pedestrian zones, and participating in the development of prevention policies and raising awareness on road safety.

In June 2025, in line with its mission to protect children on the road, LEV INS supported a road safety awareness initiative on the Maiko Mila platform. Together with the BRC, the company produced a video on first aid for common road accidents and injuries, and published an article on responsible e-scooter riding, targeting children, young people, and their parents.

The campaign emphasized correct use of protective equipment, knowledge of traffic rules, and reducing risky behavior. With this initiative, LEV INS, alongside partners BRC and Maiko Mila, continues to reinforce the message that children’s safety is a shared responsibility of society as a whole.

Activities

Results

  • On June 26, 2025, LEV INS participated in the BRC press conference on the activities of the Fund and received a commemorative plaque for its long-term support.
  • Financial support was provided to 96 children in 2024 and 38 children from January to June 2025.
  • Since the Fund’s establishment in 2005, a total of BGN 877,807 has been allocated, supporting the families of 1,258 children nationwide.
  • Communication campaign with Maiko Mila:
  • 1 short first aid film on common road accidents

  • 4 short Instagram & Facebook videos on first aid
  • 8 additional short videos on reducing risky behavior
