Representatives of the Association of Bulgarian Insurers (ABZ) took part in the initiative of five kindergartens in Pernik under the motto “On the Road, Life Has Priority,” dedicated to the National Road Safety Day on 29 June. The event was held on 11 June 2025, hosted by Kindergarten No. 12 “Radost.” The celebration brought together children, their teachers, and the local community around the theme of road safety and its importance from an early age.
The aim of the initiative was to emphasize the importance of building safe behavior habits in early childhood and to showcase good pedagogical practices. The event was colorful and filled with emotion, including role-playing games, themed demonstrations, competitions, and many children’s smiles.
Nina Kolchakova, Secretary General of ABZ, congratulated the children and all participants, underlining the insurers’ association’s commitment to the topic: “Children’s safety as participants in road traffic is a shared responsibility in which education plays a key role. This is why we support initiatives that cultivate attention, self-awareness, and responsible behavior on the road from an early age.”
On behalf of ABZ, Kolchakova presented certificates of recognition for active contribution to teaching and educating children in responsible road behavior and in promoting a culture of road safety. The directors of the five kindergartens that took part in the celebration were recognized:
The director of Kindergarten No. 12 “Radost,” Mrs. Petya Toleva, thanked ABZ for its participation and stressed: “The presence of ABZ representatives is an honor for us and a clear sign of support for the efforts of kindergartens to shape responsible road behavior among children.”
As part of the event, Kolchakova gave interviews to the regional TV channels “Kra Kra” and “Struma,” highlighting the need for early and consistent road safety education. She emphasized that ABZ not only supports such initiatives but also actively develops its own educational projects aimed at building a culture of safe road behavior from the earliest age.
