The international network C4BG2, in partnership with Bloomberg TV, is organizing the 2026 Sofia Strategic Finance Forum, Networking & Idea-Sharing Gala, which will take place on 21 May 2026 at Hyatt Regency Sofia. ABZ is among the partners of the event.
The forum has an international focus and aims to support the development of Sofia as a regional hub for financial and technological innovation by bringing together representatives of the financial sector, technology companies, investors, academia, and the Bulgarian professional diaspora. According to the organizers, the initiative connects a network of more than 50 Bulgarian professors and researchers at leading universities, as well as over 1,000 professionals working in key international financial centres.
The forum programme includes lectures and discussions dedicated to risk management, financial innovation, the energy transition, the FinTech sector, and the role of institutional investors in a dynamic economic environment. Participants in the panel discussions include representatives of the banking sector, pension funds, FinTech companies, regulatory institutions, and the insurance sector.
As part of the panel discussion “Volatility as an Asset,” Nikolay Stanchev, Chairman of the Management Board of ABZ, will participate and present the insurance sector’s perspective on issues related to risk management, long-term investments, and the challenges to financial sustainability.
Participation in the discussion sessions of the forum is free of charge upon prior registration. The organizers are also planning a separate VIP Gala Evening and networking event with paid access. Due to the limited capacity of the event, early registration is recommended.
