On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the Prof. Dr. Veleslav Gavriyski Foundation, together with the University of Insurance and Finance (VUZF), presented the Lifetime Contribution to the Development of Bulgarian Insurance award to Konstantin Velev – CEO of Armeec Insurance JSC and long-time Chair of the Board of Directors of the Association of Bulgarian Insurers (ABI). The award was presented during the official ceremony of the 2022 Insurer of the Year, Pension Insurance Company of the Year, and Insurance Broker of the Year awards held on 17 May 2023.
The name and career of Konstantin Velev are closely associated with the consolidation, advancement, and success of the Bulgarian insurance market over the past decades. He has played a pivotal role in the development of the sector’s leading professional organisations – the Association of Bulgarian Insurers (ABI) and the National Bureau of Bulgarian Motor Insurers (NBBMI).
The Lifetime Contribution to the Development of Bulgarian Insurance award is a well-deserved recognition of Konstantin Velev’s dedication and leadership, his consistent professionalism, and his deep respect for Bulgaria’s historical values and traditions.
