Three significant anniversaries – 140 years of insurance in Bulgaria, 30 years since the founding of ABZ, and 110 years since the establishment of the National Trade and Banking High School – were the occasion for a meeting between ABZ and over 70 future insurers – students from the school. The high schoolers gave a presentation to the ABZ guests on the history of insurance and the development of the industry in Bulgaria, the essence of insurance, and the role of the sectoral association.
In her address to the students, Nina Kolchakova, Secretary General of ABZ, spoke about the current state of the market and presented the functions and various areas of activity of the Association of Bulgarian Insurers. She emphasized that insurance is an endlessly fascinating field, touching all aspects of human life, and therefore attracts professionals with diverse backgrounds and qualities. “What unites them all, and what is a fundamental requirement for practicing this profession, is humanity,” she said.
This latest meeting of ABZ with high school students studying insurance is a reflection of the association’s policy of actively engaging with young people and encouraging them to pursue a professional path in the insurance sector.
