The discussion seminar “DORA and Cybersecurity on the Bulgarian Market”, organized by the Association of Bulgarian Insurers (ABZ) on the initiative of Mastercard, drew high interest from the sector. The event took place on 26 June and brought together 45 representatives from ABZ member insurance companies.
During the seminar, participants were presented with the report “DORA and the Most Common Cyberattacks in Bulgaria and Europe”, developed by Mastercard’s expert team. The keynote speaker, Cihan Saliholu, a cybersecurity expert at Mastercard, offered insights into the scope and application of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), as well as current cybersecurity trends in Bulgaria and across the region.

Special attention was given to the current state of cybersecurity in the Bulgarian insurance sector, with Saliholu providing expert commentary on the sector’s preparedness and areas for improvement.
The seminar reaffirmed ABZ’s commitment to supporting its members in navigating regulatory and technological challenges, while promoting a proactive and collaborative approach to digital operational resilience and cyber risk management.
