ABZ partnered once again in the “Safe Mobility – Life in Motion” road safety initiative organised by kindergartens in Pernik

Representatives of the Association of Bulgarian Insurers (ABZ) took part in the “Safe Mobility – Life in Motion” initiative organised by kindergartens in the Pernik region to mark the National Road Safety Day on 29 June. ABZ supported the initiative as a partner for the second consecutive year.

The event took place on 11 June 2026 and was hosted by Kindergarten No. 12 Radost. It brought together children, teachers and members of the local community around the shared cause of promoting safer behaviour on the roads and highlighting the importance of road safety education from an early age. The programme featured role-playing activities, themed demonstrations, competitions and plenty of smiles from the participating children.

As part of the initiative, the children's art competition “Joy in Children's Eyes” was also held. For the first time this year, the competition focused on the theme of road safety and attracted significant interest from across the country. A total of 1,335 children from 90 towns and villages participated. Representatives of ABZ served on the competition jury, and the awards for the winning participants were presented during the event.

Petya Toleva, Director of Kindergarten No. 12 Radost, expressed her appreciation for ABZ's support:

“The presence of representatives of ABZ adds particular value to the event and demonstrates that institutions stand behind the efforts of teachers and children to promote knowledge and responsible behaviour on the road.”

During the event, Rositsa Vartonik, representative of ABZ, gave an interview to the regional television channel Kra Kra, where she emphasised that improving road safety is one of ABZ's strategic priorities. She highlighted the importance of developing safe behavioural habits from an early age and the role of interactive educational approaches in engaging children with the topic.
