The University of Insurance and Finance (UIF) is launching an annual National Insurance Competition for high school and university students. The first edition of the event will take place between 20 November 2025 and 30 January 2026.
Institutional partners of the competition are the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) and the Association of Bulgarian Insurers (ABZ). The partner for the first edition is Groupama Insurance JSC.
The aim of the competition is to draw attention to the importance of the insurance business and the opportunities it offers as a career path for young people in Bulgaria, as well as to highlight its role in the economy and society as a whole.
Eligibility: All students in grades 11 and 12 from secondary schools across the country, as well as students enrolled in higher education institutions and colleges in Bulgaria—regardless of their degree or form of study—are eligible to participate.
The competition is held in two categories: “High School Students” and “University Students”, and includes three stages: registration, case study, and interview.
Registration will open on 20 November 2025 and remain available until 14 December 2025 via the registration form at:

The second stage – Case Study – will begin on 15 December 2025 and end on 15 January 2026.
Participants will work on a case study within their respective category (“High School Students” or “University Students”). They will be expected to analyze the case, propose alternative solutions, and justify their choice of the most appropriate one. Those who provide the most well-reasoned, logically sound, and practically applicable solutions—demonstrating critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practice—will advance to the next stage.
The third stage – Interview – will take place between 20 and 30 January 2026.
Its purpose is to assess not only participants’ ability to argue and defend their solutions but also their personal motivation for continued professional and academic development. The interview will seek to identify candidates who demonstrate ambition, a willingness to learn, curiosity, and a drive for self-improvement.
The winners will be selected by a jury composed of representatives of the organizers and the competition partners.
Participants will compete for cash prizes, scholarships, and internships provided by the organizers and partners.
