For the 18th consecutive year, the most prestigious annual awards in the insurance and pension insurance sector in Bulgaria will be presented – “Insurer of the Year,” “Pension Insurance Company of the Year,” and “Insurance Broker of the Year” for 2025. The organizers of the event are the University of Insurance and Finance (UIF), the Association of Bulgarian Insurers, the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Security Companies, the Prof. Dr. Veleslav Gavriyski Foundation, and the Bulgarian Association of Insurance Brokers, who will award the best companies in the sector.
The awards will be presented at an official ceremony on Insurer’s Day – October 1, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the “Sofia Grand” hall of the “Marinela” hotel in Sofia.
During the ceremony, awards will be presented in 11 categories, with the winners to be determined by an expert commission composed of representatives of the organizers, based on pre-determined objective public criteria.

The Prof. Dr. Veleslav Gavriyski Foundation will present, for the 28th year in a row, its special national awards: “For Overall Contribution to the Development of Bulgarian Insurance,” “For Overall Contribution to the Development of Bulgarian Insurance,” and “For Overall Contribution to the Development of Insurance Intermediation” to deserving successful professionals and managers, leaders in their sector.
Over 200 guests are expected to attend this year’s awards ceremony. The event is traditionally attended by the insurance and financial elite of Bulgaria, heads of state institutions and regulatory bodies, academia, and business.
