The largest online gallery in Bulgaria and in Europe dedicated to children’s drawings on road safety is now live on the website of the Association of Bulgarian Insurers (ABZ). The gallery features nearly 10,000 drawings submitted during the national contest “No Mistakes on the Road.” The initiative gave children from across the country the opportunity to become “co-authors” of ABZ’s educational road-safety test by illustrating both correct and incorrect behaviors on the road.
Organized by ABZ, the Guarantee Fund, and the General Directorate of National Police at the Ministry of Interior, the contest generated enormous interest. A total of 4,105 children from 304 towns and villages across Bulgaria took part. Teachers and parents shared very positive feedback, noting that preparing the drawings became a starting point for engaging classroom activities and discussions on road safety.
As a gesture of recognition to Bulgarian teachers for their dedication and efforts, the organizers decided to expand the prize fund. In addition to the 10 individual prizes—bookstore vouchers worth BGN 100 each—another 10 awards will be given to schools and kindergartens for their active participation. These institutions will receive bookstore vouchers worth BGN 200 each.
