20 Awards Presented to Outstanding Participants and Educational Institutions in the Children’s Drawing Contest “No Mistakes on the Road”
A unique online gallery on ABZ’s website showcases 10,000 drawings from the contest
The national children’s drawing contest “No Mistakes on the Road”, organized by the Association of Bulgarian Insurers (ABZ), the Guarantee Fund, and the General Directorate of National Police at the Ministry of Interior, attracted remarkable interest. Nearly 10,000 drawings were submitted by children from 304 towns and villages across Bulgaria. The initiative allowed children nationwide to become “co-authors” of ABZ’s educational test on road safety, by illustrating both correct and incorrect traffic situations. All artworks have been collected in a unique online gallery, available on ABZ’s website.
As a gesture of gratitude to Bulgarian teachers for their dedication and efforts, the organizers expanded the prize fund. In addition to the 10 awards for the best individual drawings – vouchers worth BGN 100 each – another 10 prizes were awarded to schools and kindergartens for active participation, each receiving a BGN 200 voucher.
The awarded participants and institutions were selected by a jury comprising:
- Commissioner Maria Boteva, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department at GDNP–MoI
- Maxim Kolev, Chairperson of the Managing Board and CEO of the Guarantee Fund
- Nikolay Stanchev, Chairperson of the Managing Board of ABZ
- Nina Kolchakova, Secretary General of ABZ
- Dr. Teodor Lulchev, Assistant Professor at the Industrial Design Department of the National Academy of Arts, member of UBA, DANISH CRAFTS, and the Chamber of Designers in Bulgaria
